This spacious open-plan design features a dining space, full kitchen, and inviting sofas for six, all with gorgeous south-facing views. With the unique touch of an exposed Derbyshire stone wall, it’s a warm and welcoming space that beckons you to gather and enjoy every moment of your holiday.
Kitchen

Step into our delightful kitchen dining area, where functionality meets warmth. Equipped with all the essential appliances and complete tableware for six, this space invites you to create memorable meals. The rustic wooden worktops add a cozy touch, making it the perfect venue for your family or friends to gather around and share moments over fresh and flavorful dishes.
Equipment provided includes: oven, stove top, nespresso machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.
Bedrooms

There is one bedroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms on the second floor.
All bedrooms have bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe or hanging space.
Bed configurations are as follows:

Our ground-floor bathroom is a standout feature of our holiday accommodation. The heated towel rail guarantees warmth and convenience, making this bright and light space the ideal place to start and end your day.

Outside your cottage there is a private, fenced, south-facing patio that overlooks the enchanting cottage gardens. Equipped with a table and chairs for six and a Weber Barbecue, it’s perfect for gathering with family and friends. With the enclosed space, your dogs can enjoy the outdoors too—making it a true pet-friendly getaway.
To the front of the cottage are there three allocated car parking spaces.

Whether you're a tennis buff, love playing games with family or friends or want to entertain yourself with a game of table tennis, we offer something for everyone. Our children's play area is perfect for the little ones while you enjoy a leisurely stroll around the car-free trail around Carsington Reservoir.

The site is at the bottom of a valley and is flat.

The driveway, car parks and terrace areas have gravel surfaces.

There is parking outside each cottage and the main house, and there is not far to walk from the car to enter your property.

The car parks and exterior areas are well lit and the lights are on timer switches so they are always on when they are needed.

The cottages, communal areas and facilities around the site are well signed so it is easy to navigate your way around.
Dovedale Cottage-specific Considerations

Dovedale is a two-storey cottage with one downstairs bedroom which is opposite the downstairs bathroom.

In the bathroom, however, there is a shower over the bath.
-
Non-slip shower mats are left in the bathroom for you to use.

A bath board is available upon request.
Special Features in All Cottages
The following features are present in all cottages and communal areas:

The doors and door surrounds are in a different colour to walls to make them easy to see.

Light switches and power sockets are positioned so that they are easy to reach and are a different colour to the wall so that they stand-out.

Each bathroom and bedroom has an easy to read sign on the door outside.

The external exits have visible/lighted exit signs.
-
Location floor plans are positioned on the back of each bedroom door.

All taps are clearly marked as hot or cold water.
-
All staircases have hand rails.
-
All internal steps are in a different material to the surrounding flooring so that they are easy to see.

There are no mirrors in the living areas of any property. There are full-length mirrors in all bedrooms and covers for the mirrors are available upon request

Location
Stainsborough sits on the shores of Carsington Water in beautiful countryside. You can easily walk from our land onto the car-free trail around the reservoir.
Closest country pub? The Miner's Arms in Carsington vilage is 1 mile from the property, and easy walk across fields and partially around the reservoir.
In the local area there's plenty to do. The Peak District National Park is a stones-throw away, and we're surrounded by attractions, outdoor activities and stately homes. Once you've made a reservation, you'll get access to our online guide so that you can plan your stay in advance.
